Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in television and film, is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her show business career early. Her roles included lead characters in television dramas as early as 16 years old. Her fame was due to her performance in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge.
